Elevate your game development with the Unity Turn-Based Battle System Asset Pack — a comprehensive solution for implementing engaging and strategic turn-based combat in your Unity projects. It provides a gameplay experience very similar with the one from the Disciples games with some improvements.

Gameplay:

  •  turn based combat without movement on the field

  •  unit attack type: range (can attack any unit) a single target or all units, melee (can attack an adjacent unit in range)

  •  unit type: creature or leader

  •  on each turn you have several actions to use: attack, defend (temporary increase armor), spells (if unit type is Leader), retreat (unit will retreat from the battlefield), wait (wait for other units to attack first)

  • units can have some passive abilities like poison, burn, petrify. When an enemy unit is attacked there is a chance to be poisoned, burnt (will receive damage over time for several turns) or petrified (unit will be unable to attack for a few turns) or active abilities like: increase armor for all party units

  • units can be immune to specific attack types, an attack type can be: weapon, earth, air, fire, etc.

  • leader unit type can use spells that requires mana, and also have some attributes like: strength, agility, intellect. 

  • if strength is increased than Health is increased

  • if agility is increased than Evasion is increased: enemy units can more often miss their attacks

  • if Intellect is increased than Mana is increased

  • leader unit type can intercept an attack, if the target is nearby

  • it automatically saves the units data in a save file when battle is finished.

  • level up system, when battle ends each unit standing receives some experience amount and at some point when it levels up, some attributes will be increased like: health, attack, evasion etc. depending on some conditions.

  • AutoResolve battle, meaning the AI will take control and the battle will end in an instant, without losing time if not necessary, for example maybe when enemy is obviously weaker than you.

  •  Play vs AI or Play vs another player in the same game instance

To make the most of this asset pack, here's a breakdown of the skills you'll need:
